ECOBlast’s story goes beyond chemistry; it’s a tale of innovation, mystery, and dedication. Austrian chemist Charles Borg, initially involved in efforts to address the 1989 Exxon Valdez Alaskan oil spill, changed his focus to creating the world’s greenest multi-purpose cleaner and degreaser. His passion for this mission spanned over 25 years.
Tragically, Charles passed in 2002, taking his secret recipe to the grave, so his colleague Gavin Perrin and Charles’ wife, Karen, took on the challenge of reverse-engineering his work on how colloids aid in breaking down hydrocarbons, to recreate his magic formula. With Eco Super as the flagship product, companies Charmnote and Shellmode Australia carried this vision forward. Peter O'Donoghue and Colin Baker at Ecototal in Western Australia established the manufacturing process and Utopian Resources, the marketing and distribution. Finally in 2024, GREEN ECOBlast was created by Colin Baker and Richard Todd, and currently distribute this revolutionary cleaner across the Southwest in an effort to save the planet, one blast at a time.
